Why I became a writer: Growing up, I was captivated by the beauty of words and the art of storytelling. As the first in my class to earn a pen license, I knew that my love for English and handwriting would shape my destiny. Writing became my sanctuary, a place where I could escape into incredible worlds and find a little peace for my busy mind.
Two years ago, I ventured into the world of children’s stories, and the thrill of creating new characters ignited a fire within me like never before. As someone who battles bipolar, writing became my lifeline. It was then that I realised the power of writing about what I know, and so I embarked on a path to shed light on children’s mental health issues.
All of my stories feature relatable characters who receive support from compassionate friends to navigate their mental health challenges. My stories delve into various subjects like ADHD, bipolar disorder, sadness, loneliness, autism, and more, aiming to educate children that they are never alone. With each page, I weave self-help techniques and mindfulness activities, empowering young minds to embrace their journey towards healing.
It is a great responsibility to write stories that empower children, and with every book sold, I pledge to donate 10% to the children’s mental health charity, Young Minds. For me, there is no greater purpose than using my pen to make a difference to precious little minds.
